Samsung Galaxy S25 (1)

Samsung is planning to launch its new Galaxy S26 phones, but there might be some delays and price increases.
A Korean news site called ETNews says Samsung will announce the Galaxy S26 phones on February 25 and start selling them in early March.

Someone from Samsung said, “The company took more time planning the product, which pushed back the launch date.” However, Samsung is still making final decisions and hasn’t confirmed the exact dates yet.

The company will likely hold the launch event in San Francisco. Samsung is focusing heavily on artificial intelligence features in these new phones. The Galaxy S26 will include better AI tools than previous models.

The phones might be more expensive than last year’s models. This is because the parts needed to make the phones cost more now. Samsung may not be able to keep prices the same as before.

Why the Delay?

Samsung suddenly decided to cancel one phone model called the Galaxy S26 Edge. This caused problems with the schedule. The company also had to make changes to another model, the Galaxy S26 Plus, sending it back to the design stage. These changes are causing major delays.

For comparison, the current Galaxy S25 Plus sold one million phones, while the Galaxy S25 Edge only sold 190,000 units in its first month after launching in May.

Galaxy S25 FE News

The Galaxy S25 FE is the go-to Samsung phone for anyone who’s looking for a device equipped with high-end components and a non-premium price.

For a limited time, Samsung USA is offering a free memory upgrade for the Galaxy S25 FE. You can buy the 256GB model for the price of the 128GB one. In fact, while this offer is available, you can’t even select the 128GB variant at the store. Samsung is preventing that so you don’t lose money.

Samsung fans in the USA can now buy the 256GB Galaxy S25 FE for $649 instead of $709.

Meanwhile, if you are interested in trading your older phone, you can obtain discounts of up to $400 on the Galaxy S25 FE.

Samsung outed Galaxy S26 series designs

Samsung is all set to introduce the Galaxy S26 series early next year. Now, it looks like Samsung’s own One UI 8.5 software includes renders of the new Android flagships.

As per the renders, the first render shows a phone with the codenames M1 and M2, while the second image shows a phone with the codename M3. Previous leaks confirm that M1 and M2 apply to the base Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus. Meanwhile, the M3 codename has been linked to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The renders also seem to suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will indeed have slightly rounder corners. Then again, these renders spotted in leaked One UI 8.5 are crude enough that they don’t even represent the LED flash, so take the accuracy of the finer details with a pinch of salt.

Like the Galaxy S26’s design, which is a refinement of the current S25 series aesthetic, the upcoming One UI 8.5 update is a refinement of the existing One UI 8.0 firmware. They’re both based on Android 16.
