Samsung’s newest folding phone, the Galaxy Z Fold7, is so popular that stores have run out of stock in many parts of India. The company is now working hard at factory in Noida to make more phones quickly.

As per the information, in just 2 days after announcing their new phones, over 210,000 users placed orders for the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE. This is the most pre-orders Samsung has ever gotten for folding phones in India.

This huge interest shows that folding phones are becoming normal smartphones that regular people want to buy, not just special gadgets for tech fans.

“We would like to thank India’s tech-savvy consumers for giving the Galaxy Z Fold7 a blockbuster start,” said Raju Pullan, senior vice-president (MX business) of Samsung India. “We are aware that many markets in the country are facing a shortfall due to huge demand. We are working overtime to ensure adequate supplies of our most advanced smartphone.”

Sandeep Singh Jolly, COO at Electronics Mart India Ltd (Bajaj Electronics), said their flagship stores in key cities have seen a surge in demand. “It’s evident that customers are thrilled with the innovation and premium experience the device offers.”

Uvaraj Natarajan, CEO of Poorvika Mobiles, said, “Galaxy Z Fold7 has been a great success with a fabulous response across regions. Stocks are getting liquidated as soon as they arrive.”

Samsung has started rolling out the July 2025 firmware update to its Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in the US. As per the information, users confirmed that the July 2025 security update pushed via Verizon network carrier in the US.

You can download the update via Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.

The July 2025 security update fixes 1 critical and 21 high-level common vulnerability exposures. It also includes 17 SVE items.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 smartphone was introduced in mid 2020. The phone comes with a 6.70-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9.

It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 runs Android 10 and is powered by a 4300mAh non-removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.

The Galaxy Note 20 on the rear packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8, 1.8-micron) primary camera; a 64-megapixel (f/2.0, 0.8-micron) camera, and a 12-megapixel (f/2.2, 1.4-micron) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 10-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.2 aperture and a pixel size of 1.22-micron.

Samsung has officially kicks off the first software update to its new foldables Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE starting July 31, 2025. Users confirmed the availability by sharing the screenshot of first firmware. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE users got their first update in approx size 550 MB.

One UI 8 update based update comes with firmware F966BXXS2AYGG, F766BXXS2AYGD, and F761BXXS2AYG5 and are backed by One UI 8.

Samsung doesn’t provide much detail about this update, but simply states that “the device is protected with improved security.” This could include minor bug fixes and minor performance enhancements. The firmware also notes that after updating the device with the July patch, users won’t be able to downgrade to an older software version, considering it may impact the security of the device.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung’s first foldable to sport a 200MP camera, which it states is the same wide-angle lens you’ll find on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Compared to the Z Fold 6, the Fold 7’s 200MP camera is reportedly “44% brighter and four times more detailed.” Samsung highlights the camera’s ability to keep a photo’s sharp details even when users take advantage of its 2x optical-grade zoom.

Samsung smartly working on the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup. The S26 Ultra model to be announced early next year. It is said to come with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to ship with Android 16-based One UI 8.5.

The leaked information suggests that the South Korean to launch this Ultra device with One UI 8.5 firmware. The device will also support  60W fast charging. The news amounts to a considerable step up from its predecessor and indicates Samsung is looking to achieve an appealing balance with enthusiasts, at least as far as battery specs are concerned.

Samsung Could Stick With Qualcomm for Its Galaxy S26 Ultra

Folks at SamMobile spotted details about the chipset and operating system of the Galaxy S26 Ultra in leaked One UI firmware. The firmware leak references ‘PMK8850’, which is believed to be the model number for Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset. Since the Galaxy S25 Ultra used the Snapdragon 8 Elite with model number 8750, the PMK8850 is likely to be associated with its successor, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2.

The ‘PMK’ prefix in the codename could indicate that this is a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy variant. The firmware leak also suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will ship with Android 16-based One UI 8.5.
