One UI 8 beta: Galaxy A55, Galaxy S23 and official rollout month

September 2025 is here! Samsung Galaxy users are excited to get the new One UI 8 update on their phones and tablets. The company will officially start rolling out the stable One UI 8 update in the coming weeks, bringing new features (and Android 16) to Galaxy devices.

In mid last month, the company said it will expand the One UI 8 Beta Program for devices other than those in the Galaxy S25 series. And the Galaxy A55 was one of those devices.

You will be happy to know that the South Korean tech giant has released the first One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy S23 series. This update comes after the beta update was released for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 last month.

Step 1: Download Samsung Members App

• Open Samsung Members app
• Use the same Samsung account that’s on your phone

Step 3: Register for Beta

• Look for “One UI 8 Beta Program” notice in the app
• Tap on it and register your phone

Step 4: Download the Update

• Go to phone Settings
• Tap “Software update”
• Tap “Download and install”
• Wait for download to finish

Step 5: Install Update

• Tap “Install now”
• Your phone will restart
• Wait a few minutes
• Your Galaxy A55 will now have One UI 8 beta

According to the latest information, users of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra in India also started receiving the One UI 8 Beta Program. The update comes with firmware version S91xBXXU8ZYHB and has a download size of around 3.1GB. It includes the September 2025 security patch as well.
